We implement an anthropology driven, small scale, one on one approach in order to extend through and nuanced support to clients and their listeners.
Mission
To use the tools of research, empathy and critical analysis to connect and advance social movements.
Vision
To be a creative think tank for interpretation and translation that offers value based services in rural and city communities.
Values
We believe interpretation and translation to be an art. We push for feedback, audio quality, creativity, collaboration and language justice.
Goals
To offer a thorough, inclusive and practical service. After each collaboration we want clients find the experience useful to build up their own language branch/frame.
Anthropology is the study of what makes us human. It draws, builds upon knowledge from the social, biological sciences as well as the humanities and physical sciences. It does this to get a full sweep and complexity of cultures across all of human history and or of the culture it plans to work with (this is an interpreted definition from the American Anthropological Association).
Public anthropology is a frame of action that "demonstrates the ability of anthropology and anthropologists to effectively address problems beyond the discipline—illuminating larger social issues of our times as well as encouraging broad, public conversations about them with the explicit goal of fostering social change" (Borofsky 2004).
This study and framework houses our work and translates to a rounded language justice, holistic business practices and a belief in what is just.
Our public anthropology style is all about context, connecting dots and research. This means that all of our work is curates for cultural fluidity, linguistic nuances sustained by research and practical application.
We can operate in gendered and inclusive language.
Our base is a rounded approach that meets goals for inclusion and audience reception.
We enjoy working with clients of all sizes and opt for a collaborative communication workflow. Purchasing language services can be confusing and we want to make sure you feel good in the process.
Before we agree to a job we organize a context call in order to get the full picture of your goals, needs and limitations. This in depth and macro view helps clear up any confusion, identify creative points, pinpoint areas of concern and know where to accommodate. Then we draw up an estimate, talk it out, edit if need followed by an agreement detailing what we landed on. In the event an agreement can't be reached we'll pass for another occasion or refer to trusted colleagues. Also, we believe in negotiating when possible so at any point of the process we are open to hear ideas on rates.
We value good working collaborations, an optimal final product and providing a great base to build up your language efforts.
We work with clients to build up their efforts and knowledge of their audience. Estimates depend on event variables such as your internal multilingual management, budget, use of space and time.
